On The Rise (OTR) is designed to build confidence and leadership skills in girls and boys 10 -14 years of age through sport and adventure. This initiative will help those who otherwise may not get the opportunity to do so, be able to participate in a variety of physical activities and learning activities that will help them set and achieve realistic goals, accept responsibility, break through barriers, find healthy ways to cope with stress, and learn to respect themselves and others.
Our team has built a sustainable program through which young girls and boys can mature and become mentors for those who will participate in the program in the future. It's been proven that physical activity can enhance self-image, build confidence, and lower rates of depression, and it's our goal to build a community where sport and adventure-seeking individuals can connect and participate in the many indoor and outdoor activities our community has to offer.
